“Fantastic, friendly and knowledgable”

5 of 5 Stars

We had two day trips both with Faried. One around the Cape and one to the vineyards. Faried has such great knowledge of the whole area – from the history to the geography of the Cape. He is a relaxing and patient. He stopped for photos, spotting out things as we went along, walked us to the door of every place we visited and tailored the trip to what we wanted to do. In addition he’s a really lovely person and great company.

“Made our visit
to Cape town!”

5 of 5 Stars

From the time we were picked up at the airport by Faried, we were so pleased that we booked with Randy’s Tours. Rosina took us on a tour of the Cape of Good Hope and then another day through the wine lands and we could not have been happier. They are both extremely knowledgable and even more personable. The car was very comfortable, clean and we never felt anything but safe and well taken care of. First class professionalism and superior service! We were able to see and learn so much plus feel as if we made good friends. Our trip would not have been the same without them.

“Wonderful day
in Wine Country”

5 of 5 Stars

We spend a wonderful day with Rosina touring wineries and an olive oil farm in the beautiful wine country of Cape Town last week. No request was a bother even when we wanted to add an olive oil tasting to our agenda. We also did 2 airport transfers with Randy’s Tours. Excellent service, perfectly on time, super clean auto’s and complete professionalism with Rosina and Faried. We highly recommend using Randy’s tours for your Cape Town experience!

“Memorable Days”

5 of 5 Stars

During our stay in Cape Town we went on 3 trips with Randy’s plus airport transfers. These were “private” tours so we did benefit from the individual services of guide/driver. All were excellent. Twice went out with Terence who was so knowledgable and friendly it really enhanced our trip. Just knowing where the best scenic routes are and how to avoid the crowds is such a plus but, most importantly, our options were explained leaving us with final choice. Well done. Wish you every success!

“Exceptional Knowledge and Service”

5 of 5 Stars

Rosina and Faried spent 4 days sharing Cape Town, its surroundings and the Winelands with myself and my husband. They did a wonderful job sharing the history, culture, and customs of South Africa. They even arranged a tour of Johannesburg that also was excetional on very short notice. I would recommend them to anyone who would like to learn and experience the beauty and wonder of South Africa with a company who can provide a program to suite the needs and desires of the individual traveler.

“Go the extra mile”

5 of 5 Stars

Used them for 3 full days with my wife. Had both Rosina and Faried driving us and both were super excellent both in terms of driving quality and calmness and also with respect to their knowledge and ability to keep things interesting. When I left my sweater in the car on leaving Cape Town, they were very efficient and fast in getting it back to me. Highly recommended.

“Excellent guide”

5 of 5 Stars

Rosana did a great job customizing our 2 days in Cape Town. Not only is she very knowledgable of the area, she changed our ‘wine-tasting’ trip to include beer-tasting for my husband. We saw Cape Point, African penguins, Table Mountain, and wine country. She was prompt each day with a smile. We had a super time!

“Very nice days with Randy`s”

5 of 5 Stars

Our tours with Randy`s were just great. The tours weren`t just private, they are exclusive as well in terms of where you would like to go, which stops you like to stay at and for how long. The driving was very safe and Rosine a great tour guide.

“Excellent service – very warm and friendly!”

5 of 5 Stars

We booked both our airport transfers and 2 day private tours with Randy’s Private Day Tours and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the service. Faried picked us up very promptly at the airport when we arrived (a very late arrival at 10:30pm) and whisked us immediately to the our Inn. We then spent 2 days with Faried while we were in Cape Town – one afternoon exploring the wine country and 1 full day doing the Cape Point scenic tour. The service was excellent – he was very warm and friendly, extremely prompt and gave good background and information on our surroundings without being overbearing (i.e., knowing when we were sometimes exhausted and needing a little nap time in the car 🙂

What I liked best about these tours was that they were private and totally tailored to what you wanted to do. They did a great job planning our entire trip and ensuring we would see everything we wanted to see accounting for some unfortunate rainy weather. Faried was super flexible and really worked with our schedule – he was extremely prompt picking us up from the Neighborhood Goods Market on Saturday and driving us out to the wineries for the afternoon – picking several excellent vineyards for tastings. The next day he was there bright and early at 8:30am to take us to Cape Point, visit the African Penguins, the Cape of Good Hope and the Ostrich Farm, making sure that we were on schedule to make our lunch at La Colombe that afternoon. After lunch, when we asked if there was anything else we should see (instead of taking us back to the Inn as originally scheduled), he suggested doing the Diamond and Tanzanite viewing. This was not originally planned and added an additional 1-1.5 hrs to our day, for which he was more than happy to oblige as he wanted to make sure we got the most out of our day as possible.

We really appreciated his hospitality, promptness and eagerness to make sure that we saw as much as we could in our two days.

I would highly recommend his tours – you will feel totally safe and see everything you want in no matter how little/how much time you have in Cape Town!

“Excellent private tour to Cape Point”

5 of 5 Stars

We booked both an airport pick-up and an all day private tour to Cape Point with Randy’s Tours.

Faried (the owner of Randy’s Tours) was waiting for us as expected as we came through the airport gates and we were quickly away to the our accommodation. Brief commentary along the way. Car was clean and comfortable. Good transfer.

Main trip we did was with Faried’s wife Rosina to Cape Point. Car was a people mover, very clean and comfortable with good viewing from the windows. Rosina was exceptionally knowledgeable and very friendly. Also happy to vary the journey when we wanted to stay a little bit longer in some places or stop for us to take photos. Cost of the tour did not include entry fees to Hout Bay car park (R5), Cape Point (R90pp), Boulders Penguin Park (R45pp), Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens (R45pp) or the Chapman’s Peak toll road (R45) but these additional costs were made very clear to us up front when we booked.

Route involved driving along the Cape Town waterfront past Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay to Hout Bay where we stopped for a tea/coffee. We had planned to go out on a boat (extra cost) to see the seals off the point but the sea was too rough. Obligingly about 7/8 seals had made their way into the harbour and were swimming just below the jetty of the car park. We then drove along picturesque Chapman’s Peak Road to Cape Point and walked up to the lighthouse (but could have caught a funicular for most of the way) for a magnificent view both up and down the coast.

Stopped here also for lunch in the restaurant which had a great balcony with a fantastic view across False Bay. Expected the food to be awful and very expensive given the monopoly position but was pleasantly surprised. Acceptable quality and reasonably priced. Following lunch we drove down to the ocean side of the point which is actually the Cape of Good Hope and jostled with the tourist bus throngs to get our picture taken at the sign giving the co-ordinates.

Came back to Cape Town via Boulders, where we took some time to see the African Penguins which live on the beach here, Simon’s Town (home to the South African navy), Kalk Bay and then stopped again at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens which sit just below Table Mountain and cover a vast area. These gardens would be magnificent when they were all in flower. Rosina joined us for a good part of the way in the gardens, explaining the history and pointing out the various plant/flower species, before leaving us to go our own way and meeting us again outside for the final leg of the journey back to the our Inn.

Arrived back after sunset but didn’t miss sundowners.

Some other guests we talked to hired cars to travel down to Cape Point but they did not appear to get to see as much as we did and certainly missed Rosina’s engaging historical explanations and interesting descriptions of the areas we passed through.

Would thoroughly recommend.
